Purple Flower Bloom

purple flower blooming
on bruised skin
painful to the touch
hazy edges
blending into flesh
it hurts though
the pain lessens
with time
it lingers on
until it begins
to slowly fade
and then one day
it has gone
but it's memory
remains when you
look on the place
where your flesh
had once been
tender and bruised
