Begin anew
Dawn has come
The Sun shining brightly
Birds flitting between branches
Chirps filling the air in the slight chill
Do you feel yourself ready
to begin again in good
faith that indeed we
can change we
can take hold
of the reins
once more

Abstract and Concrete
How can I define my goals and ambitions?
How can I expand my heart and mind?
How can I foster my connection to the universe?
How can I become more compassionate?
How can I become a more creative and intuitive person?
These are some of the things I wonder
as I try to move closer to some of my goals.
Some have proven concrete ways to be achieved.
Others are more abstract in their realization
but nonetheless are part of this physical world.

Adulthood
Dream your life into being
Simplicity of thought
Action left to the movement of body
Ambition both impetus and limiter
Dual-hearted chest beating steady
May long these lungs expand and contract
Found you buried in subconscious places
You asked where I had been
Nothing could be said
Marveled at your form before me
Watched your lips move
Though I could find no words
A simple life would be fine
If we were both there
If we could cease
These dreams
Life doesn't always work
The way we believe it should
That is for the best
We sit apart by our own choices
This is fine
I still dream
Time to time
Simplicity of thought
Action left to the movement of body
Ambition both impetus and limiter
Dual-hearted chest beating steady
May long these lungs expand and contract
Found you buried in subconscious places
You asked where I had been
Nothing could be said

Time to time
