Incarnation of Now

How many lives have I lived and forgotten?
How many times have I gazed into the mirror
through different colored eyes?
If I could remember everything I have lived
how different would I be?
These lives, these bodies
that have held me
are all resting in our home
as I move about this world once more.
How many times has death taken me
in youth and in age and infirmity?
I do not have those memories
but I keep living
tied to the wheel of existence.
I am learning
and I will keep learning still.
Seeking ultimate freedom-
how many more lives
yet remain.

Vessel

I am the vessel for the infinite divine
I exist in this moment
I feel the needs of the body
I feel the lusts
I feel the anxieties
I feel the insecurities
I feel the bodily pleasures
I feel the loneliness of a cold bed
I feel my finite humanity
I am all too human
I feel more within
I am more than this
I know this
I see myself in you
I see all of us in your eyes

The Name the Wind Calls Itself

I incarnate
This place
This time
Through these eyes
With these hands
In this body
I speak to you
Hear this
In my voice
Every syllable
Pronounced clearly
In your mind
This is now
Now is forever
The moment
Has passed
The moment
Is forever
The moment
Is now

Incarnation

Begin and end-

Simple enough to say.

End and begin-

Being and beginning

How many lives

are we destined for

on this world?

If I were not human

I would wish to be

a young sapling

growing steadily

in the ground.

I would relish the sun

and caresses of the wind.

I would drink thirstily

from my roots and

grow until I could

provide shade

beneathe my branches.

Music reaches my ears

as my hand rests upon my chin.

I think of something and

then nothing at all.
