Guidance

I listen to the wind
She places her hand on my back
I don't ask where
I simply listen
Let myself be guided along

Listen and Go

Rise with the sound of your beating heart
Move to the rhythm of the hope inside

If the day has come you know what to do
Take my advice my son and go where the wind calls you

Don't be afraid
Don't be scared
Go where the wind calls your name

Sunlight will illuminate the day
Moonlight will shine at the hour of the wolf

You weren't to be here forever
Go where the wind calls your name

We will always be here
Living on in heart and memory

The wind calls your name
Listen and go
The wind calls your name

The Name the Wind Calls Itself

I incarnate
This place
This time
Through these eyes
With these hands
In this body
I speak to you
Hear this
In my voice
Every syllable
Pronounced clearly
In your mind
This is now
Now is forever
The moment
Has passed
The moment
Is forever
The moment
Is now

I am no ghost
but I can speak to the wind
and hear it's words

What was the wind saying?

fitful sleep
the wind spoke
in endless conversation
through the night
I awaken early
unable to ignore
the shifting words
through the trees
what now
what words
what needs to be said

I wake to morning
Sounds of wind and birds in trees
Sun smiling on me

Wind and Springs

Beds in rooms
Rooms in houses
or apartments
The silence of solitude
Thoughts welling
A spring bursting through
Bubbling and making itself known
How peaceful will these winds be
How powerful will be the storm
The winds have arrived
Now we ready
for the onslaught

tied

to return from nothingness

night after night

this is our condition

morning daze

bright shining sun or

clouded over continents of gray

ever present wind coming in from the sea

water cannot stay still

continually crashes upon the shore

mind and body

together for as long

as the night holds the day

If the wind is my Father and
The ocean is my Mother,
What am I?

The Name the Wind Calls Itself.

Saturday, December 3, 2016

My thoughts are carried
        away by the wind
Now I cannot say
                  what
if any of them
                        remains

power of silence
your lips do not part for me
wind rushes by us

Saturday, April 2, 2016

momentum

the days are too numerous behind us
as we are borne forward by
the momentum of self-preservation

make sure your grow accustomed to
death, marriage, births, and divorces,
they are coming towards you
as surely as the ceaseless wind

do you remember when you told me
you didn't believe in the wind?
a wry smiled crossed your face
as your hair was tousled by the wind

Tie Your Dreams To The Passing Wind

Friday, January 1, 2016

I the Wind

I am the Wind
and I will not be contained.

I roam all terrains
and touch the souls

kept guarded
from this world.

I am the Wind
and I love you.

I am the Wind
and whenever we meet

We become one
in this

The only life we have.

Must the wind always bring change?
Does it ever tire of it's task?

Saturday, October 31, 2015

The city sleeps restlessly as I drive
through empty roads
across meandering miles.
The fading night bites my skin
as I race for home
to beat the morning.

Elemental Kisses

If I were the wind
You would be the sea
Our kisses
Would make the waves
Lapping the shore
And the world
Would know
How much
I love you.

Is the wind one voice
speaking in many different tongues?

The Push of Waves

Enough flesh had decayed from the head
that by the time I came across it at the beach
I could see the skull of the dead seal.

Patches of skin were gone but it largely
remained whole. I walked up to it,
curious to see such a creature up close.

I felt no sadness as I stood before it,
merely a sense of certainty at what befalls
all living things in time.

The waves rushed in and pushed the body
further up on the sand. It rolled over
and came to rest further from the water.

Wind bit my face as I pulled the hood
of my sweater over my head.
The tide inched closer by the moment.

It would not rest until it drowned my feet
or pushed me further from its touch.
In the end the ocean got what it wanted.
