Calling

Water must move
Can you hear the shifting of the tides
A voice speaking from within
Words you are straining to understand
Calling you all the same 

Beat moves along slow
How long will you follow it
As long as you move

The Great Restlessness

Restlessness moves through me
  Impels me to stand
                   to walk
Restlessness reminds me
          of irreversible time
                    A river moving
                    forward unable
                    to be still
Able to take us
                    to sights
                    unseen

Journey Home

I and the water
  flowing through the street
  are the same
Passing through
  looking to meet
and be part 
  of the great Ocean
once more

Taking Root

If I do not keep walking
my feet will take root in the ground
my arms will become branches bearing fruit
and my leaves will rustle at the touch
of an evening breeze

Memory will drain from me
Soaking soil
the land and I become one
