I had already lost everything
so I figured why not
give up the ghost as well
What difference would it make
to give up something
with no physical form
When the time came
I set it down gently
and walked away
I wonder how it's doing
but I haven't bothered calling
it's probably too upset
to take my calls anyway
I can only hope it can see
this was for the best
for the both of us
