Steven has been gone since May.
It wasn't quite Mother's Day
when he checked out
but he made sure
to be gone by then.
I remember when Jesse left.
He was so young.
It was an accident.
He certainly didn't mean
to go so soon.
Steven was never the same.
Now they wander
at the edges of reality-
seeing far more
than any of us.
