Caged Lions
Together they roared
from the streets below.
Throats straining,
voices proclaiming
GOD IS GREAT
GOD IS GREAT
GOD IS GREAT
as the world
watched,
wondering
where it would end.
The pen rests against
the blank creamed colored
pages waiting
to finish the story.
