Greatness
The great struggle is never
the moments that are
Immortalized
in story, stone and verse.
The great struggle
is the struggle of being.
The sense of
purpose(lessness?)
is daunting.
We romanticize
the immortals
as being so far beyond
what any of us can comprehend
or are capable of.
Great deeds come not from great individuals
but from ordinary individuals bent on becoming great.
