I had given her no other indication.
I replied simply, "Yes."
"You have some nerve to ask me that after
everything thats happened."
"I just need to know is all."
"I did and it was all your fault. If you had
just listened I never would have done it."
"That's all I needed to know."
I turned and walked away, her words
hitting my back, the hot sun burning.
My tongue sat silently in its cave.
"Walk away! Keep walking, you never
listen, never!"
